In The Marquis’ Misfortunes, Yves Duranthon entertains us with condensed version of the life of the Marquis de Sade (though never specifically named in the book) in the form of a children’s book. Despite its unassuming and seemingly inoffensive cover, it quickly becomes apparent the work serves as the perfect pretext for stirring up trouble in the domain of one’s intimate endeavors.
