Le monolithe fracturé

Nowadays, the prestige of French architecture is increased abroad thanks to numerous constructions made by accomplished architects, notably on the great project sites, but also thanks to a generation of resourceful and innovative young architects. This book traces the aesthetical stances in post-war French architecture. It also emphasises the importance both of historical architects - André Bloc, Claude Parent - and internationally recognized architects - Jean Nouvel, Bernard Tschumi -, but also of young teams - Odile Decq and Benoît Cornette, Frédéric Borel, François Roche and Decoï architectes.
