Collection Frac centre
Since 1991, the FRAC Centre has been bringing contemporary
art and research architecture together in one and the same collection.
Architecture in its critical capacity and its abilities of anticipation
and utopia is also considered. The FRAC Centre collection focuses
on innovative experimental processes involving the constructed
space, bringing together emblematic projects of French and international
artists and architects who are confronted to each other on the
notion of project, where drawings and models can meet the exploratory
stages of an artistic approach. By devoting a book to an architect
or artist in its collection, the FRAC centre is developing a
scientific programme which analyses works and presents the public
with the entirety of an architectural approach and project.
