With
this issue, HYX carries on the drawing up of the special
report on The House initiated in the issue n°3 vol.1.
It traces an archaeology of the multiple conceptions of
the house in contemporary art from the avant-gardes to
nowadays. It presents the work of the most avant-gardist
architects while recounting in a conceptual and playful
way the history and evolution of the concept of "living
in".
This second volume of Exposé devoted to The House comprises
some 280 pages, about 20 essays written by architects,
designers, philosophers, historians, etc., and about 1500
reproductions of works by artists and architects who have
worked on this theme. An exhaustive bibliography offers
the reader a real suggestion and research aid.
